Xbox Double shot mod

I am completely new to everything, I bought a halo 2 double shot controller on ebay along time ago and now i want to learn how to make my own controllers to do any combo's that i want.

I have never used pic axe but I bought the 08m starter kit.

I dont have any experience in writing code for this language and limited use in C++.

basically all i know how to do is add extra buttons to xbox and xbox 360 controllers, but have no idea how to install chips

can anyone just tell me what I need to do first.

print out and read through the manuals

You should take the time to print out and read through the manuals. Then buy a bread board hook up a picaxe according to the manual intructions and then do something simple like make a LED flash on and off. Then make it flash on and off according to the conditon of an input like a switch.

Once youve done that your mod should be preety straight forward. Ive never touched a X box. I havent got time. And either will you if you get to enjoy tinkering with picaxes.

Brendan: expect a nasty letter from a manufacturer complaining that you are interfering with his sales. ;)

It is a trivial mod for PICAXE user. Besides the opto-couplers, a 4066 quad analog switch could also be used.

OOPS, I let the cat out of the bag, here come the nasty letters....
