where are prefences saved?

Hi,
using picaxe in school - teacher wants settings such as using o8m chip and enhanced mode to be there on startup. when i set these and close program and open it they are saved - but where?
can't see anything in application data in windows - i need to know so i can reproduce this for all machines on network,

Seach for the registry key
\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\Programming Editor

under \HKEY_USERS\
(each user can have their own setup)
