What is meant by "Min Res"?

Unless you are having your PBCs "machine stuffed", why would you buy 0Ω resistors over a bent pieces of #22 wire?

It's for my GCSE project, looks far better to not have badly bent pieces of wire lying around though it probably doesn't make any difference id still rather.

EDIT: I can't buy online else id get them from rapid.

The Maplin "min res" series is simply "Miniature Resistors".
They're actually 'standard' 1/4W ones. (but smaller than the old 1/2W ones)
As to whether 1R is neglidgeable, that depends on your circuit.
If it's in a power line, then no.
If it's between a PICAXE O/P and I/P, then yes.

Although a bent piece of wire does the job admirably, I also prefer to use the 0 ohm links (resistors) as I think they look better. I got mine from REV-ED in a pack of 100.

Wire jumpers / links for PCB's

I agree with KMoffatt.
I often use the excess lead from actual resistors for 1 hole (2.5mm) and 2 hole (5mm) links.
I use a pair of needle nose pliers for neat bending. For a 1 hole jumper shap it around the tip of the pliers and for 2 hole shape it around the rear of the needle nose section.
