TX and RX

I've done a bit of work with 2.4ghz tx/rxing video. Ahhh... the pringle can antenna.

The problem is as you are probably aware is that the power output is very small and the signal is easily affected by environmental factors like wet tree leaves, rain etc. in the way.

One option would be 151megs with high gain (yagis) antennas either end. TV antennas are yagis. You need a balun between the radio module and the antenna if you are going to use tv antennas otherwise make your own. Manuka is the man to ask about this stuff.

Well said - it's indeed "horses for courses" (if you'll excuse the pun Brendan!) with wireless, & lower freqs have much better punch thru' obstacles, although at lower data rates. I'm personally a 2.4GHz fan overall (BT & WiFi especially), but for slow PICAXE based data work I far prefer 433 MHz. Stan
