Two basic picaxe 28X2(3v) questions....

Hi!

Be grateful for assistance

I am using a 28X2 (3 volt version)

Question-1
The 'picaxe x2 product briefing' document, refers to 'the internal resonator' (P3). Is this internal resonator (I assume that it is a proper one?) as accurate as an external one? or would an external one give me greater accuracy?

Question-2
Which memory locations will store data if either:
a. A reset is done
b. Power has been removed

1 - External ones are more accurate however the internal is more than suffice for 99% of projects.

2 - The eeprom is non-volatile (is kept even when power is lost or during a reset). The scratchpad is lost during reset or power loss.

Additionally, Table memory and General Purpose Registers are RAM memory that lose their data when power is removed

Tables will be stored in program memory (i.e. flash), or optionally into eeprom, so either one would be safe.

1) I couldn't find details on internal oscillator accuracy in the Microchip datasheet I have but I would expect it to be around +/-1%, +/-5% at worse, based on other Microchip's designs.

2) On-chip data Eeprom.
