Table and ReadTable commands

Looks as though I have some older Picaxe 18M2 chips.
When I try to use Table and Readtable commands the
Linaxepad compiler give me this error:

Error: 18M2+ only commands cannot be used on older 18M2 parts!

Picaxe manual 2, page 179 does not mention the Picaxe type for readtable and table commands
(unless I missed it somewhere), but did buy my 18M2 parts about 8 months ago.

I'm about to order a few 20M2 Picaxe parts, can someone confirm that table and readtable
work ok with 20M2. Sorry for basic questions.

PICAXE manual 2 page 179 does indicate the types of PICAXE chip for which a command applies.
See the diagrams down the left side of the page. The 18M2 is included.
In summary, M2 (except 08M2), X1 and X2 parts have TABLE memory.
Whether "18M2" is restricted to the 18M2+ but not the older 18M2 might be the question.
