sound effects chips from time gone by

Whilst browsing around I came on thei site still selling many of the 1980's sound effect chips. Seemed like an interesting picaxe interface project.

prices fairly low as well although USA based.

http://www.arcadechips.com/product_info.php?products_id=61 this link picks up the Texas SP0250 speech synthesis chip. I recall playing with one on the Acorn Atom I built in the early 1980's - forrunner to the BBC micro.

Just had a look at the site. Hell I feel old!!!!!!!! I remember interfacing some of these to Z80s. Tyhanks for the stagger down memory lane!

From about 1980 to 1985 I used an SC-01a speech synthesis chip.
