Software freezes when downloading

Hi, I have had the program editor working on my computer for about a year, but now it does not work. When I click to download new code the software freezes and the only way to close the program is to restart my computer. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the software but this hasnt fixed the problem, I have also tried using different usb ports. It is running on Vista and I am using the latest version of the program editor 5.2.2. Has this happened to anyone before? Any suggestions?

I think you might have missed out a step.
5.2.2 has not been out for a year so I guess you did an upgrade recently.
Is that when it stopped working?

I was using a previous version, but when it stopped working I installed the new version, and this does not work either.

Got it fixed, it was to do with the driver, I re-installed it and it seems to work now, strange.
