Skittles and M&M sorter

I just saw this machine at http://www.boredpanda.org/skittles-sorting-machine-brian/ and thought 'A picaxe could do that'. Maybe it is. Anyway 'axers, there's the challenge! This one certainly looks well designed and made.

I think it might be easier to scale down to, say, minstrel sorting?

Could do that with just a tube as well - put Minstrels in top, minstrels fall through to bottom into open mouth
