I initially registered here with a pobox.com email address, the main address I use for all personal email. Since about 3 years ago it's been forwarding to a gmail address.
The registration email never arrived, even after sending two "Contact Us" requests (from site footer). I found the registration re-send link in the sticky post at the top of the forum, but that didn't work either. I checked the spam folder too of course.
This morning I tried changing my email address to the underlying gmail address that the pobox.com address points to. I got the email within seconds.
In conclusion, I don't know what the problem was with the pobox.com address (I still get many emails per day on that account), but changing it to gmail.com made it work. Hopefully this post will be useful to anyone with the same problem.
