Programmable robot project idea?

Hi chaps,

Need your input on this one. I am wanting to build a educational toy for young people to learn about very simple programming. I am basing the design on the TREK robot of the 80/90's. Where you push either forwards, left, right, and then activate and the robot does the sequence you put in, and enable the student to clear the program and then do another one.

Firstly is this even possible?

I have been looking into it and am struggling to see how I can store the sequence in order of the inputted data.

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I am not familiar with that robot but it should be possible. Data Eeprom can be used to store the sequence of moves and then replay them.

Google Pixie mark 2 to see an educational robot which operates as you describe. It is unlikely to still be in production but should give you an idea of what can be achieved.
