Program Via Bluetooth?

I'm in the middle of a project that will send data back to a PC via Bluetooth.
That bit is now working fine but whilst configuring the remote bluetooth device I noticed it was capable of sending the break command.
"Oh", I thought, maybe I could use it to program as well.

I had a few attempts.
The remote device woke up and flashed a few of its LED at each attempt but the result was always "Hardware not found..".

Before I spend any more time on this instead of the actual project.
Is it possible?
Has anybody done it?
Any ideas why my first few attempts might have failed?

Simply sending a break (a pulse) is not the same as specifically switching break/high low at specific times.
So it probably won't work. But it would be nice if it did!

URF/ERF radio modules would be better as they are designed to do this.

I have the URF/ERF modules and they work fine. (both for sending data and programming)
However, it would be nice not to have to have something dangling from the laptop.
I'll have another play with bluetooth when time permits. Hopefully it was just wrong baud rate or some other silly.
Here's hopeing.....
