Picaxe28x2

I must admit that I have not been following this forum, but I know nowhere else to turn for information. Where can I find data for the PICAXE28X2 (and 40X2)? And, how can they be purchased? They are described in the PICAXE manual, and apparently are based on PIC18F MCUs, but although this information is a year old I can find nothing further.

The 28X2 and 40X2 are planned future products based on the 18F2420 and 18F4420. They have not yet been put into production so are not available for purchase.

After issues which arose through Rev-Ed's estimates of the X1 parts release date, Rev-Ed no longer provide predicted release dates for products or estimates of development times and ongoing progress reports are rare. There is therefore no publicly available information or indication as to when the X2 parts will be available.

Summer it is then, and presumably summer 2008. According to the Cambridge Online Dictionary; Summer lasts until the end of September in the UK.

They must be referring to the northern hemisphere one. We've already got ours, but no X2s yet!
