PICAXE to the Rescue!

I made a servo-operated prop (a Demogorgon head, specifically) to mount on the front of my car for a drive-thru "Stranger Things" (a Netflix sci-fi TV series) multimedia experience with the kids. I had planned to operate it manually using a dumb little servo tester, servo wires running from the drivers seat and under the hood. It all worked fine on the bench, but when mounted on the car it was sluggish and erratic. Either because it's an electric car or the wires were too long or both. Had no time to troubleshoot, so I slammed together an 08M2 circuit in under an hour (building and programming) to run it. Worked perfectly, the Picaxe & battery were right at the servo and I just ran 2 wires to a pushbutton in the car to toggle opening & closing motion sequences. We got plenty of smiles, waves, honks and thumbs-up from guests and performers alike. Picaxe saved my bacon!
