PICAXE to listen for a CO sensor to activate
Hello all,
Going a little off tangent from the main alarm system I'm building- I was just wondering how I would go about creating a circuit that could "listen out" for my carbon monoxide sensor to activate?
Basically when this circuit hears my CO sensor operate, I'd like it to tell a picaxe to do something- in this case it will trigger an interface module on the main system and broadcast an alarm signal across my home because the one sensor is a little quiet.
I've had a look round and have some PICAXE chips spare. Any ideas of the components I'd need and circuit diagrams? I would like it to be powered from 3X AA batteries.
Is it just a matter of connecting the microphone to an analogue pin and measuring the analogue value?
