Picaxe Blockly Chrome app

Senior Member

Trying to program Picaxe chips via the Blockly Chrome app, but I am getting a "Online complie service is not available. Try again later" message. This is having an impact on my lessons! Can anyone shed light on this? Is it really a temporary glitch, or is that the end?

Seems to be back up. I just tested www.picaxecloud.com from here in Australia.
- I have no problems with the site. I get the sign-in/registration page.
- So I registered and I am able to login:

Interesting, I have never used this app. From the app store:

PICAXE Blockly also contains a text editor so that Blockly programs can be automatically converted into PICAXE BASIC or Javascript. The text editor can also be used to develop textual PICAXE BASIC programs. This is useful for developing PICAXE programs on modern computer platforms such as Chromebooks.

Is the text editor anything like PE5 or PE6? I don't have a Chromebook to try. Would love to see a screenshot.
