I am building a basic "if switch 2 pressed then output 7 on display" type circuit and think I am having trouble with the PICAXE 28X memory. All the outputs work eventually but the program loops and displays values on the 7 seg display for the switches which have been turned on since power was applied to the circuit, but since turned off. Is the chip storing these values somewhere and is there any way to clear this memory before the program loops again? the chip also seems to keep these values even when the battery is disconnected and reconnected.
