Pic Sound Software FREE!!! Help

Hi all i have just found this site

i was wondering if any body out there has used it or knows how i could put 3 sound files into a pic and get it to play them back. I dont quite follow how the software would be added to a pic

That looks great! I haven't time now to download it, but it looks like a very imaginative idea.

The problem with any bit-banged sound is the output rate; to have decent sound requires a relatively large bandwidth and to get ten samples per 1kHz you need to be putting out a sample every 100us, and as the data is output so fast it also tends to be huge and each sample has to be fetched from I2C Eeprom in that time.

Earlier generation PICAXE just didn't have the horsepower to do what's needed but it may well be possible with the latest generation which can run up to 64MHz for the PICAXE 20X2. The biggest challenge is probably getting the waveform to play back into the Eeprom and that shouldn't be too hard.
