One resonator, two chips?

Hi all, did a bit of searching and browsing but couldn’t find an answer two this rather odd question.

I am curious if I have two 28X2s on the same PCB both of which I want to use an 8MHz resonator with can I save on board space and use the same resonator connected to both?
