if the 18X is removed from the range, then Rev Ed would have to redesign their:
- AXE110 datalogger kit
- AXE120 PICAXE MICRO-ROBOT
- and possibly other kits
Dies out from new designs might be a more accurate comment - I won't throw away the chips I've bought over the past few years, but I might stop using them for prototyping and products. Up until the - 20X2 was released, it was my favourite chip.
