Logicator V5 startup error

I have just purchased Logicator V5. I have loaded it onto an XP system and I have .Net 1.1 installed. When I run the application I get the following error:

An application exception has occurred that could not be handled.
Process id=0x350(848), thread id=)Oxec8(3784)

At this point the application terminates.

I suspect an XP setting is causing the problem but not sure which. Can anyone provide an answer?

Have you tried installing additional versions of the .NET Framework? Multiple versions can run side-by-side (and older versions may be mandatory for newer ones to work) so you don't need to uninstall any existing ones.

Recommended .NET versions you install:

• 2.0
• 3.5
• 4.0

An error message that doesn't describe the problem is common when there is no .NET Framework installed but may also happen if you're using a stone-age version.

You only need framework 1.1 for Logicator - as with all .Net applications you only need the framework the software is designed to use (not all of them).

Try installing the latest microsoft vcredist_x86.exe version from here:

Thanks for the replies. The error was caused by a corrupt installation of .net framework v1.1. I de-installed 1.1 and am running with v3.5. Logicator seems to run OK.
