CALL is just a different name for the GOSUB command see: http://www.picaxe.com/BASIC-Commands/Program-Flow-Control/gosub/ It is just the same as using either EEPROM or DATA to store values in the EEPROM memory or hspiin versus hshin or hspiout versus hshout or shiftin versus spiin all just alternate names for the same commands
