gLCD 240x128 Pixel at Altronics

Well, if westaust sends you the GLCD then let me know, then I'll send you a chip to drive it.

It would probably take a couple of days to write, sorry if that's too slow :)
Maybe add a couple of days more if you want to display bitmap images too.
The Tosh driver is a well documented chip (i.e. ancient but good) and fairly easy to implement.
There are others (for mono displays) that give more flexibility, especially as far as text size is concerned.

But you experts will know that already!

When it comes to displays I'm no expert.
I'm actually a badly bitten newbie. (poor constrast, naff viewing angles etc.)
Don't know my "TN"'s from my "STN"'s.
In the market for a PICAXEable graphical display.
Looking at Rev-Ed's offering but put off by price. (~£50)

Based upon the current pricing at techsupplies, the 240x128 gLCD from Altronics is about twice the cost of the Rev Ed LED040 (and less after taking postage into account) but it is ~4 times the resolution (pixels).

Cheaper in NZ (after exchange rate) - you don't see that every day.

Global_PC as located by krypton_john NZ$108.27 = AUD$90.80 and have free shipping as well. Pity NIL stock.


Futurlec (Aust) also do a 240x128 pixel gLCD.
LCD240X128 = 240 x 128 Graphic LCD Display (T6963) AUD$107.93 + AUD$4 shipping.
Supposedly in stock but I ran into problems with supposedly in stock i2c Expanders at Futurlec (luckily BCJKiwi came to my rescue)

Several variants with the CFAG240128L-STI-TZ priced at US$79.50ea = AUD$ 116.21 (at current exchange rates)
