I soldered up the Wulfden kit today, and it worked in test mode. Haven't made up my cable yet to test RS232 mode, which is what I really wanted this module for.

If shipping time isn't critical, you might find that getting chips directly from Rev-Ed is about the same price as getting them from a US distributor.

Example:
When looking for some 40X2 chips last week, I found the North American distributors to be out of stock. I checked the price plus shipping from Rev-Ed and found that two 40X2 plus airmail was about $22US which was less than buying them from the US distributors (at $10-$11 each plus $4-$7 postage).

Score one for Rev-Ed ;-)

I've used the wulfden kit with the white on blue 20x4 LCD- it looks great and is very easy to use.

Search works a lot better when you look for a FRM010 instead of of a FRM 010!
