error message

Hi. I often get this error
"serial port error-code ox1c 'out of stack space" when trying to download a program to 40x2.
I'm using win8
Any suggestions what the cause/remedy is ?

Yes using the AXE027 cable
forgot to say that it crashes the editor each time it happens, which is often and sometimes 3 or 4 times in a row (very frustrating)
I open options and check and refresh the USB port,
I also swap USB inputs but this doesn't help
It's not consistent, so I just keep going until it works
