ERROR:5 Invalid procedure call or argument

Hui. i just installed picaxe (the latest version) on my PC and when trying to compile or check syntax i get that error: ERROR:5 Invalid procedure call or argument. i can do all other things (save and open and write).

PC is running Windows XP(64bit)
Tryed to run picaxe in comatibiliyt mode Win 98 but still the same...

what could be causing the problem?

The current compilers are not compatible with the 64bit operating system. A compatible update is in beta testing stage now and is due for public release by the end of this month.

PS if this beta is looking stable(ish) i would be happy to use it. i only need the basic compile and download, nothing more... it's just that my project is on a hault until that...
