Hi.

What is the fastest way to erase the 24LC16B EEPROM? I've tried to overwrite with zeroes, but it takes really long time.

There is no other way to erase an EEPROM than write data to each memory location.
No UV light options as per older EPROM or voltage pulse methods exist.

Why specifically do you want to erase an EEPROM?
If part of a data logger one might ask why bother.

If Erasure is essential, are you writing individual bytes one at a time or multiple bytes based on the page size for the particular EEPROM?

The 24LC16B has a 16-Byte Page Write Buffer, so you can write up to 16 bytes at a time.

It's part of a datalogger, as an experiment.

I thought I'd miss something about a voltage pulse method.

I'm writing one byte at the time, for now.

Thanks.
