Easy WiFly

I just came accross this and thought it might be an easy way to interface Pic-haxes with Wifi and the real world.( for beginners or us dumb people). Besides having some GPIO it also has RS-232 or RS-485 or SPI
It is on my list of things to buy, probably in a couple month.

Its serial only but quite a bit cheaper. Its got a XBEE form factor so should work nicely for the AXE401 or AXE210 or with the Xino pro for Picaxe

What I liked about the module was;

Data Mode (Default State)
–The WiFLY module is effectively a data pipe
•TCP/UDP header are stripped or added transparent to the UART
•Data written to the UART is sent out over Wi-Fi
•Data received over WiFi is read from the UART

Which means any noobie can hook two picaxes to two of these modules and be able to go wireless as long as they can to a serial read or write.

By the time I buy your unit from Britian and have it shipped it would cost about the same
Never mind shipping time. I usually recieve digikey stuff the next day
