Downloading and running.

Hi all.

I have recently bought a picaxe development kit and have written my first program. It appears to work fine in the simulation but, how do I upload it into the picaxe, which incidently is a -18, and get it to run independantly?

hello shamu,
did u get a cable with your picaxe kit. as its just a case plug in the cable and hit the program icon in the editor.

Hi.
Yes I got the USB cable, is that all I need to do, click on the PicAxe option and then select 'Program', which will cause the program to upload to the picaxe and then run?

Yes - but assuming it's an AXE027 USB cable not before you've followed, to the letter, the driver installation instructions.

Do you have them?

I installed the driver and a message came up something like 'axe027 device installed and ready to use'. I assume that's confirmation that all is OK.

Got it to work!!
Some confusion about the USB cable looking for port 1 when it was conected to port 8.
