Coil & Capacitance Meter

Has anyone ever programmed a Picaxe, such as the 18x to act as an LC meter
or separate coil and capacitor meters ?

Silicon Chip magazine had an article on a PIC (not PICAXE) based digital high accuracy LC meter in May 2008.

If you click on the first image (the front-end circuit) you will access a slide show which gives more photos and the full schematic.

Obviously you will be up for working out your own PICAXE BASIC program code.

I've dug up the schematic, DipTrace file, just change the extension to *.dch

An oldish design, it may have errors, it pays to double check. I would do things a bit diferently now that Picaxe X2 is on the market.
