Hey everybody I kinda new to eletronics and just learning the basics so i was wondering if you guys could help me with something. OK well i order 2 differnet dtmf chips and i was wondering how i would hook them up to the picaxe and how to get them running I'll post the data link to the 2 chips below. The data sheets have schematic diagrams on how to use the IC's.

The chips are very cheap from futurlec so buy several extras from them so when you kill a few you will have others to learn with. Download and print out the data sheets from the futrlec web site. Read them carefully at least several times The data sheets have schematic diagrams on how to use the IC's. Follow the diagrams.

If you dont know how to read and implement a schematic diagram then dont buy the IC's.

You need to start with simpler circuit first. Start by making the picaxe flash a LED. Then make it flash when you press a switch.
