Changing mode in PICAXE software 5.1.3

Hi,

When i try to type a command such as 'count', the software says 'ERROR: Count command not supported in this mode'. I wondered if it is possible to change the mode that my PICAXE software is working in. If it is any help, in the bottom left hand corner of the PICAXE Software it says 'PICAXE-28 mode'.

I've had a look in the manual and it seems that the count command dosent work with the picaxe 28. You need to use a X part if you want to use that command. Have a look in the basic command section of the manual under 'count' (page 32) and you will see on the left side of the page the parts the count command will work with. The 28 isnt listed. You can't change the mode, the editor automatically detects the part your working with and will tell you if youve got the wrong mode selected. Just double check that you have a 28 and not a 28X part. Go to options drop down box and click on firmware. It will tell you what picaxe you have connected.
