CAD library repository - OT

Hi All - sorry this is off topic but I posted here to get widest audience!

There always seems to be people hunting for various CAD libraries etc so I had an idea - I have a web site (or 3!) with space and traffic to spare and I am willing to setup a page for hosting a repository of CAD library files for the commonly used PCB CAD packages for users to access.

Was thinking of: EAGLE, AUTOTRAX (Protel), DIPTRACE as a starting point

How do other users feel about this?

Cheers

Sounds Good But...

Sounds good but how will this better say what Westaust & Mycroft are doing with making libraries available under "User Projects.Misc" for DIPTRACE.
Also don't forget VeeCAD for veroboard

Was just an idea....
1) not forum based
2) browseable by alphabetical listing of file names
3) not taking up Rev-Ed's valuable storage space!

Stocky,

If you enjoy creating websites and blogs -- go for it!

You can add any of my published libraries to your website.

One word of caution, don't be surprised if you get very few "hits" on your site. Part of the wonder and problem of the internet is the fact there is so much information that finding specific information can be very difficult.

Ask yourself who your "customers" will are and how they will find you.

The first place I would look is the PCB CAD website's location for user created libraries. the second place would be the user group/forum for the electronics that I use.

TANSTAAFL!
