Bit Bang I2C on 08M

This may be a bit obsolete with the m2 parts out but of you have some 08m laying around and need a quick datalogger (as I did) then I have some code to share. I'm typing this from bed (TMI) so I can't share it right now but reply to this post if you're interested and I'll pass it along. It reads in one ADC measurement and then stores it to a 24lc512 i2c eeprom, a low on a pin and it logs, a high and it dumps it over the prog ed terminal. Had to use a few tricks to make it all work on an 08m but its all gravy now.

Let me know if you want more information.

Welcome to the PICAXE forum.

Albeit that the 08M is now nominally superseded by the 08M2, folks will still have these chips in the electronics box or breadboard for some time to come.
There I suggest that you proceed to post your alternative code if you wish for future posterity.
Best to post in the Finish Project – Code Snippets area.

Others have done this before with the best examples by hippy:

Good work. Please post code. I have a few 08m's and I currently need a datalogger.

It's good timing.
