The people where you got the chip from may also have the magnets.
The ones I have are around 3mm Dia and about the same in height,
I can't remember where I got them though, as samples from Allegro or bought them ?.
Try asking Allegro, they may even send you a couple as samples.

EDIT: Try Austriamicrosystems even, it's late here :)

Thanks, yes, I managed to get three free samples via the Austri Microsystems website.

I also ordered some thinner ones from a UK supplier and I'm currently using one of those. (I'm keeping the official ones for the 'real' project, if it ever materialzes).

Very interesting fixture you have got to rotate the magnet assembly.

My only two comments would be whether it is best to attach the magnet to the jig with brass or plastic screws (to not distort the field) and if with you could use Autocad or similar program to draw a circle with different degree readings to glue to the surface of your jig.

It was put together in a bit of a hurry :) But the main purpose was to compare the analogue and digital signals. In that regard, it wouldn't really matter whether the absolute angle was accurate, rather only that the magnet was stationary for long enough for both reading to be taken.
