Believe not.

I have asked the same question on a few occassions over the past year or so.

Latest reply (in my own words) was that:
as the X2 parts are available, the X1 parts are now older technology and in moving forward it was not intended to expand the PE to added simulation capabilities llike depicting all IO for the 40X1.

OK I believe ya
thanks for the headsup
now that I know I'll use a 40x2 instead, i sure hope the editor fully supports this.
In the manual1 there is a section "Configuring PICAXE-40X / 40X1 Input-Output Pins"
do you know if there is something similar for the X2
I need all the help i can get
cheers from tropical Tassie

The PICAXE Programming Editor and AXEpad both support 40X2, Simulation within Programming Editor supports the 40X2 with all I/O pins presented for display.

There is no equivalent section in the manual for configuring 40X2 pins as all I/O pins can be configured and used as input or output, nothing special nor complicated needs to be done.

Details on the X2 parts can be found at www.rev-ed.co.uk/docs/picaxex2.pdf
