18x - Low Freq PWM (40-400Hz) Range

Good Day All.

I am needing to use a spare 18x to output a 40 to 400hz at 50% duty cycle range pulse.

I don't need to do a sweep range.

I just need to be able to preset each button press with a freq.

I know that the 18x can not go this low by it's self, but I remeber a post some time back about using the poke command to lower the PWM freq.

But I can not find that post as this point it time.

What is the lowest PWM Freq I can get using the poke cheat.

Can you please advice me.

In the mean time I will keep looking for the post in question.

will get you down to about 250 Hz.

To get further, you'll need to slow down the whole Picaxe

Alternatively, use “ripple counter” chips
such as the 4020, 4040 and 4060.
