18M2 and AXE031

I am guessing that the new 18M2 is compatible with the AXE031 21 servo controller, like the 18X? Is that correct? Any known gotchas?

Yes, all 'same leg count' PICAXE are always circuit compatible with each other. And M2 supports i2c for this board.

Same Here.. the 18M2 is going to be a fantastic chip, esp for animatronics

Yep.. Anything that animates an inanimate object using electronics, servos, or other controlling medium.
