Although at a lower 315 MHz, which will give more punch thru' vegetation etc, they look akin to numerous UHF offerings & indeed should work a treat with PICAXEs. However they're ASK, & that sensitivity figure is not brilliant, so don't expand range miracles!

Follow "433" ideas I've shown at => www.picaxe.orconhosting.net.nz - some users find setup tweaking a hassle.

Nearly all Low Power / Short Range modules should work much the same in terms of software and electrical interfacing, but check the permitted frequency use for your region before purchase.

In the UK 315MHz is allocated for mobile phones. You may get lucky and sneak under the radar when it comes to being caught using them by the authorities but you may also find they don't work well if signals are swamped by legitimate uses.

Likewise 415MHz, which is also commonly found, is allocated to the Ministry of Defence and is prone to interference from TETRA digital radio.
