where to buy xbee pro

I'm sure this will be a very obvious answer to most but where can i buy a xbee PRO in the UK. searched the forums and cant find a mention. and any examples i get on the net are for deveopment kits, not just the modules

The original XBee makers,Maxstream,are now renamed Digi => http://www.digi.com/. They've several southern UK outlets => http://www.2k1.co.uk/ , and => http://www.sssplc.com/

What are you trying to do? ZigBee of course is at 2.4GHz where more distant links are only really feasible when line of sight(LOS). Ranges can be good -assisted by the infamous "wokfi" ( => www.usbwifi.orcon.net.nz) I did a lot of basic XBee work over as much as 2km LOS =>http://www.picaxe.orcon.net.nz/zigscoop.jpg , but keep in mind that even the more powerful XBee Pro will be thwarted by path obstacles, although it does also have a superior receiver. If the budget can stand it,superior 433MHz & 900 MHz data offerings may be more viable. Stan
