Wait command in multiple start programs

I have tried a search for this query but not come up with anything. Do wait commands or for that matter any of the delay commands affect the execution of the parallel programs.

pause/wait do not affect other tasks, the task that is currently 'paused' is simply skipped and processing moves on to the next task immediately.

commands such as sleep/nap do affect the other tasks, as the chip is put into low power mode and so can't process any of the tasks
