Voltage regulators

I see Rev-Ed now do 5v and 3v3 low drop out regulators.
Namely REG004 and REG005.
Does anybody know the spec for these?
In particular, I'm after quiescent current and drop-out voltage.
Better still, manufacturers part# so that I can get full data.

No, I don't have specs for RevEd's parts, but one thing about LDOs: they need a husky output cap for stability. 100 uF isn't out of the question. (Matter of fact, the LM2931AZ-5 is spec'd for 100.) I've seen 10 uF min for others.

If you take that precaution, you should be OK.

Well it says is a ZSR500C for the 5V one.
ZSR is a Zetex product. Have look on Zetex's website.

PS.
ZSR range don't look very "low dropout" to me.
If using Zetex products you'd need the ZLDO range for decent LDO.
Nowhere close to 2936 or 2950.

Interesting quote about ZSR rage:
"The ZSR devices are completely stable with no external components."

Thanks for that guys.
Dippy, don't think I'd call 2v low drop out either!
All in all though, better than your average 78L series with their 3mA and 3v.

Slightly off the topic- I just got some samples from Texas Instruments including five TPS7150's (low dropout regulators).

5.3 - 10V in, 500mA out, 8-pin DIP package, 32mV dropout voltage, needs no external componants (although they reccomand a bypass cap), shuts down if you try to draw 2A out of it, has a "battery low" open collector output if the voltage drops to 92-98% of full output. I put one on my main play around breadboard, works great with 4xAA's. Putting out about 4.9V.
