PHAnderson has a similar chip that he sells. You can also buy it along with a pcb at Wulfden.org.

They work very well, I have three up and running.

Unfortunately the U S distributers of PICAXE products have a very limited product line. This is in part due to the limited sales/advertising and the large minimum orders required by Rev_Ed.

If you can;t find what you are lookng for at the "authorized" or "unauthorized" dealers, you will have to order through Rev_Ed and pay the very high shipping charges.

LCD Working Great

Hi, I just got my LCD working. I got the LCD #118 kit, picaxe 28x1, and
solderless breadboad from P.H.Anderson. I am very pleased, they work
great. At first I had a little trouble, because I thought the LCD pinout was
different, but after reading the spec. sheet, I changed that. I am also quite
impressed with this forum.(The people) Thanks again.
