Wow, Nick, your ISP must have some pretty tight filters for my site to come up as possible pornography. My site has no curse words, or even a pic of a real human.

Anywho, the build page as code, video, pics, block diagrams.... Too much to duplicate in a forum post, but here is the vid of the result

It's only on my school internet - I can access it fine from home. A lot of the filtering is based on it detecting certain strings in the URL, for instance any URL containing "MP3" is filtered so if someone posts a thread on this forum with "MP3" in the title I have to copy and paste the link to the thread in to the address bar and manually remove everything after the 'showthread.php?xxxxx' part and it will then work. It's possible that there is a pornographic word hidden in 'whiskeytangohotel' so it gets filtered.

Added: YouTube is completely filtered.

Another reason for posting in the forum is if the external content is not on a major site (e.g. Google or Instructables) the website might not exist in a few years and even if the content is saved in the Wayback Machine the relevant images are usually missing.

EDIT: Now got a good explanation for the filtering: Your site uses Blogger. Ae least that means that the content shouldn't disappear by itself.

Nick:

Thanks for the follow up. I certainly don't want my project site to be flagged as "adult". And thanks for adding the UK Blogspot link.

Great project, IJ! Now you need a webcam so people can see that they took control of the hand, like the old Netscape sign.

I like that tweeting cat door, too. Well done!

I certainly don't want my project site to be flagged as "adult".
It might be advisable to cut back on the 'giving the finger' angle as many would consider that inappropriate for non-adults.

I don't know if that's why the filtering nick12ab goes through flagged your site as "adult" but it would not aid your protestations that the categorisation was wrong.

Thanks for the encouragement! I had a web cam on the hand for awhile. The problem has with lag; the camera lagged the tweet command by (sometimes) several minutes... followed by comments like "it's not working". Trust me, it is working, because it goes off frequently. (Makes me smile every time. :D)
