Hi at all.

I'm searching for an economical cheap solenoid valve to drive water flow in a new project that I need to realize.
I need to buy somethink like 250-280 solenoid valve that I will mount in a graphic waterfall application. So I need to buy a really economical model (due to total quantity....).
Could some one help me searching for that valves?
Many thanks...

Without specifications (as asked for by Ken) we are in full guessing mode.

How about the solenoid valves used in white goods like washing machines?
They are usually reliable and cheap.

I ordered one of these from Ebay China. Not here yet, but it's due to arrive any day now.

Also try sprinkler valves for your lawn sprinkler.

Be a little wary of regular home sprinkler valves because they are not simple solenoid values and won't work well for many "project" applications. The very small solenoid controls the pressure applied to a much bigger diaphragm valve that controls the water flow, they need a decent amount of pressure to open and close correctly.

I would back-up Dippys suggestion. Simple, cheap & reliable.
More info required.

Don't you just love ebay vendors and their specifications? ... Connection: is exceptionally thread....

If you're going to put a link to something, just put the link to the post you are referencing. (The "find" didn't work for me on that forum.)

Unless you can get in touch with someone who's actually made one then I think you're going to have to get some valves and experiment. You're going to need quite a fast switching speed so probably the smaller the valve the better, but that may mean you need to put more pressure behind it to get enough flow.

Good luck with the project - if you can get it to work it can be really impressive. I've seen one in action at the Puy du Fou theme park in France. I didn't know the waterfall was going to do it until it started happening. It was literally both jaw-dropping and breathtaking :)
