Run error message

Hi all,

Just opened an existing *.bas file in ProgEdit and the message "File cannot be saved as it is read-only".
I have checked the attributes of the files in question, and all are set correctly, NOT read-only.

Anyone have any ideas?

can you save the file by changing the file name before pressing 'save'? Maybe worth making a small change beforehand so the file is different...(I doubt this will help and i suspect you've tried this already)

If this is when you are trying to run/syntax check it is because your default windows temporary folder is not accessible. Like many applications the Prog Editor temporarily saves the data to be compiled in the system temp folder.

This is normally Documents and Settings/Your user name/Local Settings/Temp folder

If this is a one-off a restart of Windows may kick the operating system back into shape.
