Not what you asked for but... One option that I have used was to mount the socket on a small piece of veroboard/stripboard and then mount this vertically on the PCB, using the footprint of a 5-pin header (pin spacing 0.1"). This also saves space on the PCB.
I do have such an adapter but wanted to keep it all tidy on the board. I usually design my PCB with a 3 pin header onto which a socket with fly leads and a molex plug fits.
