Can't see scandinavian chars in the old .bas code, but can write those.

Is this some coding problem, these old files are not compatible with PE6?

Make sure you are using Unicode UTF-8 in File>Options>File>File Type

PE5 was not fully unicode compatible, PE6 is, and so if you need to make any replacements they will then be permanent.

But it does not make sense to do it, because PE5 save all ANSI and this problem is with ALL PE5 users! Could this fix to PE6?

Here is many of files...

PE6 can already use unicode UTF-8. PE6 uses a modern development architecture, PE5 did not, so there are some differences, particularly as unicode now completely replaces ANSI.

Please can you email support at picaxe dot com one of your files so we can try the issue, sometimes issues like this can be worked around with something as simple as a cut and paste.

We've made some changes to the next release of PE6 which will try to 'auto-convert' old ANSI encoded files that use these accented characters within user comments.
In the short term you can probably workaround the ANSI issue by cut and pasting text from PE5 into PE6.

Now PE6 will not understand skandinavian chars at all. I have saved ansi and utf-8 but not working, these all are '?' when i load code again.
