nkm2401 use as transceiver

Hi I am looking into using the nkm2401s to send data over a transceiver link.
As the kit stands, you have one transmitter and one receiver.
Would it be possible to use a single 2401 at each end by switching the mode pin
during transmit etc?

Thanks & regards john

What is the nature of your data and wireless link? What range? Any local interference ?

NKM2401 are cheap enough (~50p at Tech Supplies) to festoon around circuit of your own design,& this may be more viable than hacking a AXE213 kit.

Just what transceivers are you using? Many recent GFSK transceiver offerings are very smart devices indeed, yet sell at reasonable prices (~US$25). Their enhanced performance, power, sensitivity & inbuilt error handling makes them far superior to the sort of cheapo 433 MHz ASK units for which the NKM2401 was intended. Stan.

Hi stan,

I know the 2401s are a real bargain, but I just wondered if it could be done by toggling a pin on one 2401.
The radio modules I was going to test with, are only cheap am modules. Looking at some of the module
data you show, it seems I could get one module that is a modem transceiver!.
Thanks Stan, I will have a look and see who sells them in the uk, and hope that vat doesent cripple the
price too much.
Have a good day, regards john

Hi Stan, Its hard to believe that they are only £9.99, and with an sma socket too.
Time to sweet talk the lady who holds the purse strings!!
Thanks for that, certainly worth a try.
best regards john
