Error on Syntax Check

Hi. I just downloaded and installed MacAXEpad and it is giving me an error when I try to check the syntax of my program. The error it gives me is "Problem opening .Asm as TextInputSteam", "Failed to Create .Err File". I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program but the problem persists. I have not yet tried to program a chip with it yet. I am using a Macbook Pro running OS 10.4.11 and MacAxepad version 0.1.2. Thanks for the help.

This appears to be the same problem as reported in Post #20 here and by another user ...

We are investigating the issue and will hopeful quickly resolve the problem. MacAXEpad has been tested before releasing the Beta and is being used successfully by others but there seems to be a specific issue here for which we apologise.

Make sure you are saving the PICAXE source code file with a .BAS extension; that may work round the problem.

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I haven't tried to save or open any saved documents yet. The problem happens even with a new document. I tried to program a chip and I get the same error as previously reported by those other users. Thanks.
